After 4 years it's time for new adventures!

We'll be closing our doors on the 14th of May 2016. It is a decision that Conduit has thankfully been able to make without pressure from any outside sources such as monetary or rental concerns. The board at Conduit Arts have always seen running a not for profit arts space as a fluid and somewhat temporal endeavour and believe that by nature, artist run initiatives aren’t meant to be around forever. We are excited by the legacy that Conduit Arts shall leave and are looking forward to the incredible events coming up that shall help us bring the space to an end.

Keep an eye out for the final program that shall feature incredible artists that have performed and exhibited with us over the last 4 years. Until then we shall continue doing what we have always done; provide an engaged and flexible space for artists and audience alike. We look forward to celebrating with you all soon. For any enquiries please visit our contact page.

CONDUIT'S LAST RITES

The time has come! Join us for one last night of hedonistic indulgence to send off the Conduit Arts Initiative.

Featuring the talents of The Hi God People and Prophets with installations upstairs from artists Dom Kavanagh, Llawella Lewis and Alexander Dathe.

Come and join us on Saturday, May 14th for an epic evening of performance, merry making, good tunes and general Bacchinalian/Dionysian (depends who you role with) indulgence.

We have gathered together some immortals of the Melbourne music and performance scene to help us on our path to the netherworld. The Hi God People will be blessing Conduit on it’s path to oblivion and Prophets will be waiting at the end to enchant us with their siren songs. Accompanying the evening from on high will be the finest DJ who will rain forth on our supplicant ears, music of the finest kind.

The living quarters have been passed over to the exquisite minds and hands of artists of the finest kind so that you my roam through previously guarded areas of Conduit. Come and drink in the morbid, desicated and derelict works occupying the rooms.

Drinks will be had, toasts shall be made and dancing shall be done. Conduit is closing so come and lend your voice to the chorus in rightful, joyous, drunken and jubilant song.

Entry is free and attendance is compulsory. To our faithful, we hope to see you in attendance. To those that have never crossed the threshold of Conduit, thou art welcome and may seek absolution at the bar. Truth be told, the more the merrier to help us on our way.

Greatness beckons from 8pm and we shall continue late into the night. After this, Charon awaits!
